About Me

I have been teaching middle school language arts for 13 years. I will be teaching 8th grade this year (2013-2014), but have taught both 6th and 7th grade at the same school. I am National Board Certified in Early Adolescence Language Arts, and a National Writing Project fellow. I love to read and am devoted to developing lifelong readers. This is the 4th year that my students will be participating in the “40 Book Challenge” This year I am excited to be teaching Common Core-aligned curriculum that I co-wrote for my school district.
